This is the 15" model from Harbinger that includes the built in 200 watt class a/b amp and few mixer controls. It includes a 15" driver and horn, balanced and unbalanced mic line inputs, xlr and stereo rca inputs, a built in 5 band eq, stand mount, and a 3 channel mixer.

I was looking for a pa system, actually, and was worried that I might have to spend about a grand to put something together. In reality, I just needed something for doing a little occassional DJing with an iPod, and also something that could drive vocals and a guitar with a modeling interface for my garage band. For only $200 per unit, I picked up two of these Harbinger APS15's at Guitar Center and they fit the bill.

I'm really impressed with how much they packed into a two hundred dollar speaker and amp combo. It's really amazing. This is probably the best feature, or the one most worth talking about.

The frequency response isn't all that great on the system (40Hz bottom), but the amp supposedly goes down to 20Hz. You would expect with 15's that the speakers would be able to go all the way down to 20Hz, but I guess for the price what do you expect. You won't miss much except what I call the movie theater lows, you know dinosaurs stomping around like in jurassic park. For reproducing most instrument sounds and music, though, they function fine.

Surprisingly, although the shells seem to be a really hard plastic, everything seems to be well put together. The mixer controls are OK, typically that's the first thing you look at on an inexpensive model, so I was impressed with that. Overall, I wouldn't drop the units too many times (they'd probably crack), but they will definitely withstand some abuse taking them from site to site.

Overall, sometimes you get what you pay for, and sometimes you get a little more. I think this is the case where Harbinger has packed a ton of features and functionality into these PA speakers and you definitely get a little more than you were expecting for the price. The MSRP on these was about $349 if I remember, and that would have been a decent price, but getting them on sale for $200 at Guitar Center was a steal in my opinion. I'm really happy with my purchase and the units are still operating perfectly, just like they did when I took them out of the box. They're not perfect, though, so they don't get the 5, but I'll give them a 4.
